About Me

I’m just a regular kind of guy. I have a wife, who is a stay-at-home-mom to two children. I work as a nurse here in Houston, Tx. We’re a pretty typical American family. We have ups and downs. We do some things right and we do some things wrong.
Over the course of ten or fifteen years, we managed to accumulate about twenty thousand dollars in credit card debt. I’ve seen several of my friends pay off all of their debt, so with a bit of prompting, I finally took the plunge. As of the first week of 2008, we started on a plan to repay all of our debt and live debt-free.
We are roughly following Dave Ramsey’s plan to start with the lowest balance debt and continuing to “snowball” the payments into the next debt as each one is paid off.
I started this blog to chronicle our progress down the river of debt.

Greetings. I read your comment over at PaidTwice. Your “Love Ya Blue” reference caught my eye. I’ve never known a Oiler fan and wanted to write.
You aren’t going to like this but I’m a Steeler fan; season ticket holder since 1969. I remember the Oiler teams from the 70’s. It’s a shame they never get mentioned, because they were equal to the great Steeler teams of the 70’s.
Yes, Renfro WAS in.
